What is an AUC Open Day?

Open Days are a great opportunity for both students and parents to find out more about AUC's academic programme, admissions policies, the campus, the dorms, student life and the many aspects that contribute to making the AUC experience both excellent and diverse.

During an Open Day, you will be able to learn all about AUC's unique liberal arts and sciences curriculum with information sessions on the majors and many areas of study, residential life in Amsterdam, what it's like to be an AUC student, various community project and internship opportunities, studying abroad, the student association, social life and much more!

Registration and Welcome Presentation time

Register for the Welcome Presentation time at 11.00. We ask that you register for the Welcome Presentation session as it provides an in-depth introduction to both AUC and the Open Day experience. This will serve as the kick-off for the rest of the day's programme.

Organised by

Amsterdam University College (AUC) offers a liberal arts and sciences programme, leading to a joint Bachelor (Honours) degree from the University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. AUC is based on the American liberal arts and sciences model, with the students living and studying together on an international campus located in Amsterdam Science Park. The programme is entirely English-taught, small-scale and selective, with a maximum of 300 students admitted each year based on their academic performance and motivation.

Students major in the sciences, social sciences or humanities. Substantial emphasis is placed on the sciences, offering a thorough in-depth training in disciplinary sciences such as physics, biology, informatics, earth and environmental sciences and bio-medicine, but also requiring immersion in other fields of study. All AUC students undertake a community service project or an internship, and AUC offers a wide range of study abroad opportunities. For more information, visit the AUC website: www.auc.nl.
